Eco-friendly Furniture

While recycling may not have been a buzzword in the 1700s, our ancestors fully employed the concept by using and reusing the few resources they had. Today, common sense stewardship of the earth’s resources still dictates that we should make the most of what we have. The High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) lumber used to build our poly furniture is made from recycled plastics, including manufacturing waste.
HDPE lumber is a high-performing and environmentally-friendly material manufactured in the United States. It is resistant to fading, rotting, mold, insects, and splintering. We use stainless steel fasteners that resist rust, even in salt water exposure.
How does it work? Over two billion pounds of plastics are collected each year for recycling. Post-consumer and post-industrial sources like milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles as well as manufacturing waste are processed into pellets. These pellets are then melted and extruded into plastic lumber that is then used in manufacturing. You can watch the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwrkepJ39xw&t=9s
It is no surprise that over the years outdoor poly furniture has grown in popularity because it is low-maintenance but also eco-friendly and durable. It has become the go-to material for a piece that will last the test of time without requiring maintenance. Whether it is by the pool, fireplace, patio, or on the front porch we have styles and colors to match your space and décor.
Our Poly Outdoor Furniture is:
- Resistant to splintering, chipping, rotting, and discoloring.
- UV stable, stain resistant, impervious to insects and easy to clean.
- A High Density Polyethylene product grade.

Yes we think making outdoor furniture with poly HDPE lumber is a fantastic way to turn waste into outdoor living products where comfort, style, and easy care meet!
